Well, it sure has been a looooong time...

Yep, I've been a blog slacker. Here it is the end of August and the boys are getting ready to start school. Yep boys, plural. My baby is going to Kindergarten this year and I'm not sure I'm ready for this. 2 more weekends of family fun and then it'll be weekends to recover from a busy school week once again. I promise to post pictures of some of our summer fun and first day of school.

Well, we survived the candy high week after Halloween. It was a fun time. Mitchell was Darth Vader and Mason was Jango Fett...don't ask....Star Wars characters I guess. I think its funny that neither one has seen any episodes of the show, but they still love all the Star Wars stuff.

Tony went "Up North" deer hunting with Rob Straw, our old next door neighbor and managed to bring home a trophy this year.

And Mason was playing with all of his Webkins last week. He put out this blanket with the squares and said it was "Circle Time"(like at preschool). They have a big carpet with squares for each child to sit on. Anyways, he put 1 Webkinz on each square and gave them all a small toy, "because its sharing day." Then he decided he was going to be the teacher and he was going to teach them how to carve a pumpkin. So he got about 8 small pumpkins that are decorations in the dining room and some orange marbles from the toy room and passed them out to each animal. Then he sat in front of them and told them how messy it would get if they opened up the pumpkins. It was so precious to watch. Then we had to go to Target for groceries, so he put them all in a different area of the living room and told me "they are having recess like Mitchell, now." He is such a sweetie. I asked him if I could put him in a bottle and keep him 4 forever, but he quickly responded that "I won't fit in a bottle, Mom, unless its a "humongous" one....but you would take me out? right?" He was a little too serious and it was pretty funny.

Nope

Separate rooms it shall be. Ya know, I prayed about it, and that very next morning Mitchell got up about 7:30am, and he gets dressed right away as he only sleeps in his unders. So he was opening dresser drawers and closet doors and woke Mason up. And he wasn't ready to be up and it was a horrible hour before school time. So yeah, Mason is back in his room and they haven't really asked to bunk together since. Other than that, they have colds, and after 5 days off of school for break, I think Mitchell may have another one or two this week. I am going to meet with the Bariatric Surgery Team on Thursday with Tony to discuss Lap Band Surgery...other than that, nothing too exciting around here.

It Happened

Well, the boys have convinced us *I think* to put their beds in the same room. We have had the crib mattress from the toddler bed Mason used just hanging around up in the hallway, of course the boys never jumped on it or used it for a trampoline or anything. But the last three nights, Mason has slept on the floor on it in Mitchell's room. They go to sleep really easy together, not that there were any problems with them in their own rooms, but they are just really excited to go to bed together. I'm sure it will wear off, but they are trying to convince us to put Mason's bed in Mitchell's room this weekend. We'll see. If we change things around I will post before and after photos next week.

How Can Abortion Be OK just Sometimes?

I am tired of listening to politics today. Tired of hearing Obama say abortion is a woman's right. Tired of hearing that abortion is ok if the woman has been raped. Its not OK. Never. Its all murder. Who thinks they can take the place of God and decide when a life will end? I am so far away from these people its scary. When does life begin...ever wondered? When a heart is beating? When eyes are formed? When the baby takes its first breath? How about CONCEPTION? I am disgusted with society today and I might just need to stay behind closed doors.
